On april 24th 2005 UL Karate Club held an open Kumite event. The event was attended by the President of the World Karate federation Tommy Moriss.

This event has changed to an open event.

UL Karate Club are holding an open competition on Sunday the 18th of April. They will start at 11pm with registration from 10am onwards. The venue is the Old Sports Building (Pess Building).

Individual Registration 12 euro per event.
Team Registration 25 euro.

Under 70kg 9th Kyu - 4th Kyu
Over 70kg 9th Kyu - 4th Kyu
Under 70kg 3th Kyu and higher
Over 70kg 3th Kyu and higher

Female:
Open

Kata
9th Kyu - 4th Kyu
3rd Kyu and above

All competitors must be members of the clubs they represent, all grades are welcome and insurance must be provided by the competitor or their club.
